replaced

this morning issac comes into my room...i heard him open the door and creep in...and say "she's still sleeeeeeping". and then...

WAKE UP EEMOH!!!

not quite our normal routine, but then i looked up and aln was peeking in through the door. apparently he wanted to see this routine. hrmph. then syd crawled into his lap and issac jumped into my bed ... way to play married with children.

it's really quite endearing how much syd likes him - she's the hardest nut the crack and definitely picky about who she likes and doesn't like. she sat on his knee this morning and he looked like he was going to melt.

haha i think i've been replaced.

i asked issac this morning "who loves you issac?" (to which he normally says "soyun eemoh!") and he looks around, points at aln, and says "him!" HAHA. i've totally be ousted. but...it's ok. i can live with that.

so it's been one month today. my only request was that celebrations do NOT include getting my car towed. (though the other day we drove by the impound on the highway and he got all nostalgic. maybe bc he didn't have to pay $300 to fish the car out that night.)

though...he IS the king of heavy. some days i just...don't want to have heavy discussions. no mas por favor. and the ever-present elephant in the middle of the room of whether he stays or goes is always there. yesterday we had this discussion about hearing the voice of God, which had him bummed bc he just doesn't hear it. neither do i, i guess. in hindsight i generally go with my gut on things and it turns out to be ok but...who knows what's going to happen here.

but for the time being...maybe we can just enjoy it. ergh. like ted and robin in himym...we may have an expiration date. and then what?
