"I hated the Matrix, I thought it was a horrible movie."
(he slaps me on the head with his belt)

(shrug, looking at my feet)
"You're going to have to suck it up this weekend. You can't let it show that it's hurting. You can't spar with it bent to keep it from hurting."
(I look him in the eye) "I've been sucking up pain for a long time."
(he sighs) "I know."
If only they really knew.
