Best nerdy joke ever - if you get it, you're a super-dork. =)
Two functions, a constant and an e^x, are walking down the road. The constant spots a differentiation operator in the distance coming towards them, and so quickly ducks behind a corner. e^x follows and asks, "What's the matter?" The constant function replies, "There's a differential operator coming this way and if we meet he'll differentiate me and then there'll be nothing left!"
e^x replies, "Ha! I'm not afraid. I'm e^x, if he differentiated me I'd be the same," and leaves his friend to cower in the alley. e^x walks right up to the differential operator and introduces himself.
"Hi, I'm e^x!"
"Hi," came the reply...
"I'm d/dy!"
