sweet justice

well sometimes there IS justice in the world.

so i found out this weekend that the girl dbag had been seeing (prior to our breakup ie. cheating) - was canadian and only after him for citizenship. apparently it didn't work out. that's right, scuzzbucket - what goes around comes around. though i'm surprised he had the dignity to want something better - citizenship is probably the best thing he had to offer.

i have to say, this revelation made me feel a whole lot better. not so much because he's unhappy (well, presuming he is), but because it just didn't feel right that a person would be underhanded and then be rewarded for it.

ndrw said something interesting. some korean master somewhere in korea was spouting life advice to him and he said that your spounse has to be your 상대. ok, so technically that means "opponent" (and it's quite possible i'm remember the wrong word in that sentence) but the point was, your spouse has to be your equal. perhaps it was a different way of saying "never settle".

but i have to say, thank you jesus for slamming door in my face to unequivocally...well, shut the door. i think i was so ready to move forward with life that i was willing to settle on dbag, despite his obvious shortcomings (not to mention the not-obvious that came out later). i dunno, maybe sometimes God lets you walk into a pole so that you don't get hit by the bus.
