Sue (my Jewish mother) asked me in the cab tonight who I was fighting this weekend. And I said "a short fat girl, a tall fat girl, and a tall skinny girl". To which she responded "oh, so you're fighting yourself?" (Like my real parents, she likes to call me fat or otherwise make jokes regarding the size of my...self. Again, Jews and Koreans - SO SIMILAR).
Scott (my Jewish little brother) and Julian (his friend and also one of my private students) were like "ohhhhh" from the peanut gallery. (Scott is very accustomed to Sue's fat jokes). Then he jumped in with "so, you're the tall skinny girl, right?"
I love Scottie.
