I got my cast off yesterday.
"So where is it broken? Oh I see...the 5th metatarsal..."
"What? No...It's broken on the index finger, not the pinky..."
"Oh...well there's something showing up on both..."
When he took the cast off, I realized I had 2 fingers that couldn't make a fist, not just one. *great*
Those rumors that cast saws can't hurt you are absolutely false. Maybe the blade doesn't actually cut...yes, it works on oscillations and is made to touch the skin without cutting. However, high speed oscillations = a lot of friction. Friction leads to heat. Heat leads to burns.
That's right. My doctor burned me because he cut too deep with the cast saw. For a scar so small, that thing sure was sensitive...
