If there's one thing I love about my job - it's my coworkers. They're freaking hilarious. So this one guy, Pat, is an E4. (Entry is E1, I'm currently an E2, as are Tara and Donna, I believe). He supervises Tara and Donna, and for the past month, they've been working crazy hours to get this project (Memo 6) done. And by crazy I mean the 3 of them only go home to sleep. For a month. It was nuts. So the presentation was last week, but start from 2 weeks ago, Pat went on vacation to South Africa and Spain. Anthony (the guy who sits across from me) and I helped Tara and Donna put together all the presentation binders and posters and what-not - it was a madhouse last week. But they stayed sane and the presentation was fine and now it's over.
However, Pat comes back tomorrow. So, as a nice little "welcome back", Tara and Donna thought it would be funny if we took all the leftover posters and papers of drafts from the binders and covered EVERYTHING on Pat's desk. And by everything, we mean the lamp, the fan, his rulers and scissors, keyboard, phone...EVERYTHING. Then we used the poster boards to make a wall and took packing peanuts and filled up his desk area. THEN we found his spare clothes (yes, he keeps a complete set of clothes at the office, including a button down shirt, ties, pants, sweater, and shoes) - and stuffed them with balled up paper like a scarecrow, stuffed his cereal box with packing peanuts, wrapped his pellegrino bottle in Memo 6 drawings, and positioned the "Pat" scarecrow with one leg crossed holding his food. With a coffee bean beanie doll sticking out like a shrunken head.
"Guys we're awful!"
"Don't you mean...awesome?"
Oh man...gotta get these pictures and post them. Haha and for our time spent "decorating"...we charged it to the Memo 6 account. HAHAHA...
This all started because our VP sent out an email fwd about "what to do when your boss goes on vacation" with a picture of someone's cube covered in post-it notes.
